My Journey
Hi.. I’m Abdur Rohman. I am an Electrical Engineering professional. My academic journey in Engineering begins at The Assam Kaziranga University in Jorhat, Assam. I earned my B.Tech Degree in Electrical Engineering in the year 2016 from Assam Kaziranga University and I was recognized with a gold medal for my academic excellence.
Professional Experience
My professional career began at Wipro, Kolkata in 2016. I soon realized my passion is in the core Electrical Engineering field. This passion led me to join Neccon Power Infra Private Limited as a Site Engineer in August 2016 and I got posted in Meghalaya.
At Neccon, I oversaw various power infrastructure projects under NERPSIP – MEG (North Eastern Region Power System Improvement Project). My responsibilities there included surveying, designing, and construction of transmission lines up to 33kV and construction of Substations up to 132/33 kV.
In 2018, I left Neccon and joined Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (A Government of India Enterprise) as a Field Engineer (Electrical). I was posted in Manipur until January 2023. My role in POWERGRID, Manipur includes high-voltage substation and transmission line projects under NERPSIP-MAN. My primary duty was equipment erection, testing, and commissioning up to the level of 400 kV.
In January 2023, I was transferred to POWERGRID, Arunachal Pradesh. I continued my work as a Testing and Commissioning Engineer there.
In June 2023, I started a new chapter with BVFCL (Brahmaputra Valley Fertilizer Corporation Limited), another government enterprise under the Ministry of Fertilizers, as an Engineer. My current role involves managing electrical equipment and systems within the plant. I also handle inventory management and procurement tasks.
Throughout my career, I’ve honed my skills in electrical engineering. I’ve worked on diverse projects across different organizations. My experience spans from power substations to industrial plant maintenance.
Research and Publications
My research focuses on applying Fuzzy Logic to Control Systems, particularly in the field of Prosthetics and Automation. I’ve published several articles in IEEE conferences and publications. Here is a list of my Research and Publications.

Why I Started Wiringuru?
I started Wiringuru because I saw a gap in Electrical Engineering Knowledge online. There is a lot of theoretical information, but when it comes to practical applications, it can be hard to find what you’re looking for. I believe this practical knowledge is as important as theoretical knowledge, and I don’t want cost to be a barrier. That’s why, at Wiringuru, I share information for free, hoping to empower Electrical Engineers and Aspiring Students alike.
But Wiringuru is more than just a knowledge base. I’m passionate about Electrical Engineering (actually I love Electrical Engineering to be more precise), and I want to share that passion with others. This blog is a way for me to connect with a community of learners, share my experiences, and maybe even inspire the next generation of electrical engineers.
